Gujarat has done the work of giving a new direction to the nation by continuously making new experiments and efforts. Keeping up with this practice, Gujarat will present its tableau with the theme ‘Clean-Green Energy Gujarat’ in the Republic Day National Parade to be held on 26 January 2023 at ‘Kartavya Path’ in New Delhi. This tableau will give a message to the country and the world to become self-reliant by creating green and clean energy using renewable energy sources.

Today the whole world is facing the crisis of conventional energy sources. These sources of energy are moving towards exhaustion with time, on the other hand due to increase in pollution due to these energy sources, the temperature of the whole earth is increasing. Due to this, many countries of the world are grappling with the challenge of climate change and facing natural disasters like floods, landslides, tsunamis and earthquakes. Serious concern has been expressed in the recently held United Nations Annual Climate Conference or the Conference of the Parties (COP) of the United Nations Climate Change Framework Convention (UNFCCC).
To counter the adverse situation, to keep the earth’s environment clean and green and to achieve the affordable and clean energy goals of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Gujarat has made a commitment to use renewable energy resources. Has taken the initiative.

Gujarat has created a separate department of ‘Climate Change’ in the year 2009 and launched various projects powered by renewable energy sources such as wind power, solar power, bio power and hydro power. Today, Gujarat stands at the forefront of renewable energy generation across the country.

In the foreground of the presented tableau, the world’s largest hybrid (solar and wind) renewable energy park, taking shape at Khavda in Kutch district of Gujarat, has been displayed. A happy girl dressed in the colorful Kutch dress is depicted symbolically holding in her hands the sun and the wind, the inexhaustible source of renewable energy. It is worth mentioning that the first solar park of the state has been operational since 2011 in Charanka village of Patan district of Gujarat.

On the other hand, Modhera village has been shown in the background of the tableau, where the world famous Sun Temple of Gujarat is located. Modhera has become the first 24X7 solar powered village in the country through BESS (Battery Energy Storage System). Recently, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres praised Gujarat’s work by visiting Modhera, which has become self-sufficient with solar energy.

Along with this, through PM Kusum (Prime Minister Kisan Energy Security and Upliftment Mahabhiyan) scheme, irrigation in agriculture from solar rooftop, energy production from canal rooftop and production of clean and green energy from wind and sun energy on other assets, self-reliance and self-reliance in this area. The pleasant energy revolution in the state has been displayed due to economic earning. In addition, the white Rann of Kutch with a wind farm and solar panels, a traditional house ‘Bhunga’ and a well-dressed rural Kutchi woman carrying a camel, the vehicle of the Rann, are presented in this tableau.

Information and Broadcasting Secretary Ms. Avantika Singh Aulakh and Information Director R.K. Mehta, Shri Pankajbhai Modi and Deputy Information Director Shri Sanjay Kachot are contributing under the guidance of Additional Director Arvind Patel. The tableau is being produced by Mr. Siddheshwar Kanuga of Smart Graph Art Advertising Pvt. Ltd.

Through this tableau, an effective message has been given that Gujarat, which is bright and economically leading from renewable energy sources, is becoming a world leader in the use of ‘Net Zero Emission’ and economical and clean energy.
