Chandigarh. Taking a big decision, Haryana government has decided to implement EV policy in the state. After the state government of Chandigarh, now the Haryana government has also decided to focus on EV policy. On the instructions of Chief Minister Manohar Lal, the Industries and Commerce Department of the state has notified the Haryana Electric Vehicle Policy-2022. The government has decided to give exemption to companies manufacturing electronic vehicles. The Chief Minister said that the objective of ‘Haryana Electric Vehicle Policy-2022’ is also to contribute in motivating the citizens of the state to buy electric vehicles.

This policy is fully expected to increase the ‘cell-speed’ of electric-powered electric vehicles in the state. The government has created a bonanza of special discounts for electric vehicle manufacturers, so that they can also be inspired to make eco-friendly vehicles. The state government has also given a special ‘bonanza’ in the policy to those setting up industries related to making electric-vehicles, setting up infrastructure for these vehicles’ batteries, equipment and charging stations, etc. They will be given capital subsidy out of the ‘fixed capital investment’ to be made in a unit as per the policy. According to Haryana Electric Vehicle Policy-2022, the first 20 units in the category of ‘Micro Industry’ in the state will get capital subsidy of 25 percent of the fixed capital investment or maximum of Rs 15 lakh, whichever is less. will be given.
