Haryana governments strictness on those who rigged government projects

While hearing the matter of corruption which came in the meeting of District Level Grievance Redressal Committee in Gurugram on Sunday, he has announced that a Quality Assurance Committee will be formed soon to ensure quality in engineering works in the state. . This clearly shows that they are not in any mood to penalize the wrongdoers in the construction of the projects.

It is to be known that just a week before today, on September 4, the Chief Minister had said in his address on the occasion of inauguration and foundation stone laying of 174 projects costing about Rs 2,000 crore for education, health, irrigation, road, transport and infrastructural development in Karnal. That a quality control authority would be formed in the state to ensure quality in engineering works.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal has again on Sunday expressed the need to constitute a Quality Assurance Committee to investigate the engineering works, saying that the corrupt are not well. This shows the honest thinking of the Chief Minister and his commitment towards transparency.

Although it is not so easy to completely eliminate the corruption that has penetrated deep in the system for years, but in the last 8 years, Chief Minister Manohar Lal has done many such works, which have shaken the shackles of corruption to a great extent. The people of the state have got a lot of relief due to various schemes and making NOC online, confidence in the state government has increased.

Whether transfer mafia in transfers of government employees or collusion with contractors or dealing-employees in engineering construction work, there have been allegations of a lot of nexus in the previous governments. As far as the present government formed under the leadership of Chief Minister Manohar Lal is concerned, after the year 2014, the above ‘notorious businesses’ have come under control to a great extent.

Engineering Works Portal will also increase transparency

The Manohar Government has created the Engineering Works Portal, which will increase transparency in the allocation of government projects. Now the tender for construction work will be online. Through this, the contractors will be able to fill their quotations and they will not have to make rounds of the officials. A mechanism has been developed in which the public can complain about the quality, corruption, mixing or sub-standard of the projects on a single portal. Preliminary inquiry will be done on that complaint and if anyone is found guilty then strict action will be taken as per government rules, if need be, that project will be rebuilt.

Taking forward the vision of paperless and transparent system in Haryana, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal launched the Engineering Works Portal https://works.haryana.gov.in on 24 May 2021. Its purpose is to provide ease of doing business with the state government to the contractors willing to work in the engineering works of the three primary engineering departments of the state government, Public Works Department, Irrigation and Water Resources Department and Public Health Engineering Department.

The Chief Minister thinks that infrastructure plays an important role in the development of the country, the stronger the infrastructure, the stronger the economic condition of the state, industries will come, investors will be attracted and employment opportunities will also increase.

What is Quality Assurance?

Quality Assurance is a way of preventing mistakes and defects in the products manufactured by a company and protecting them from problems while delivering the products or services to the customers. It defines it as the part of quality management that focuses on providing confidence that it will meet quality requirements.
