Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala has described the general budget presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman as a budget to enhance economic reform and industrial development in the country. He said that new doors of progress will open with this budget and new employment opportunities will be created and all sections will be satisfied with the budget. Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala thanked the central government for including the state government’s digital library scheme in the central budget.

Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala said that the Haryana government is moving ahead with the dream of building a digital library in every village and has been working in this direction for a long time. He said that it is commendable to include the plan of the Central Government to build a digital library in every village of the country in the budget and this will lead to a major achievement in the education sector. Dushyant Chautala said that this step of the government will strengthen the foundation of the future and rural children will be able to get better education facilities in the village itself. He said that the government will also simplify the books through digital.

Dushyant Chautala said that there is a focus on various types of capital investment, infrastructure in the budget. Along with replacement of old vehicles, attention has also been paid to employment, trade and industrial development. Beneficial schemes have been brought for the agriculture sector. He said that as the biggest relief, there is a rebate of seven lakhs in income tax for the salaried people. Along with this, the scheme of returning capital for MSMEs will also prove to be very beneficial. For the promotion of small industries, making a slab of up to three crore rupees in MSMEs will provide a big relief to small industries. With this, the youth will also get huge opportunities in startups.

Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala said that it is historic to increase the budget of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana by 66 percent to Rs 79 thousand crore by the central government keeping in mind the poor class. With this, poor families in search of a house will get their own house. Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala said that special attention has been paid in the budget towards women empowerment. He said that loan for women, change in industrial tax slab is commendable. He said that by paying interest at the rate of 7.5 per cent on savings of Rs 2 lakh under Mahila Samman Bachat Patra Yojana, women would become financially independent. Similarly, giving loan of one lakh rupees to women working in self-help groups under Mudra scheme and giving benefits to women under Stand Up India scheme is in the interest of women.

Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala said that taking a big step towards digitalization, the decision of the Central Government to set up 100 laboratories across the country for the development of 5G services is commendable and this will lead to digital progress in the rural and agricultural sector. He also said that the establishment of 157 new nursing colleges across the country would benefit the health care industry. The Deputy Chief Minister said that the initiative to take up 100 important transport infrastructure projects on priority basis with Rs 75,000 crore for last and first-mile connectivity for coal, fertilizer and food grains sectors in the budget would see far reaching results. He also appreciated the announcement of opening 500 new plants under the Gobardhan scheme.
