Panchkula, June 6. Haryana has reached number one in the medal tally with 31 medals including 10 gold in the ongoing Khelo India Youth Games in Panchkula, Haryana. Haryana has 10 gold, 8 silver and 13 bronze medals. Maharashtra also remains at the second position in the table with 21 medals including 9 gold.
In the Khelo India Youth Games-2021, in the Kabaddi match, the girls of Haryana first made it to the final. In the first semi-final, Haryana girls did wonders by defeating Andhra Pradesh by 50-15 points in a one-sided match. The second semi-final will be between Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.
In the Khelo India Youth Games on Monday, Haryana’s Thang Ta’s player Preeti won the bronze medal in the Under-18 girls’ category. In this category, Konjengbam Thaja Chanu of Manipur took gold while Saira Zahoor of Jammu and Kashmir got the silver medal.
Men’s Artistic Group Yoga team comprising of Rohit Kumar, Sagar Ranga, Jitu, Gaurav and Prabhat Kumar won the gold for Haryana. With this, seven gold medals have come in Haryana’s account so far.
