Himachal Pradesh Assembly Election: Who is Reena Kashyap, who saved BJP’s fort in the storm of Congress

There are a total of 68 seats in the Legislative Assembly of Himachal Pradesh. On which 24 women candidates contested. But out of 24, only one woman has been selected. BJP leader Reena Kashyap won the election from Pachhad seat.

Efforts are being made to bring half the population i.e. women forward on every front. All the governments are trying to increase the participation of women in politics as well. But the results of the assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh have left women disappointed. The only MLA has reached the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly to represent half the population. She has also come on a BJP ticket. Which won the election in the storm of Congress.
Out of 24, only one woman was selected.
There are a total of 68 seats in the Legislative Assembly of Himachal Pradesh. On which 24 women candidates contested. But out of 24, only one woman has been selected. Earlier, four women had won the assembly elections held in the year 2017 and the fifth woman MLA had won the by-election in the year 2019. In this election, BJP fielded 6 women, Congress three and AAP fielded 6 women. Out of which BJP leader Reena Kashyap won the election from Pachhad seat. He contested the by-election for the first time in the year 2019.
Reena Kashyap won by 3857 votes
Bharatiya Janata Party’s Reena Kashyap won the Pachhad assembly seat by a margin of 3857 votes. He has defeated Dayal Pyari of Congress. Independent candidate Ganguram remained at number three. The BJP has scored a hat-trick on the Pachhad Assembly seat (SC) falling under Sirmaur district and the Shimla (SC) parliamentary seat. The BJP had reposed faith in the sitting MLA Reena Kashyap. Those who have reached the assembly after winning. State BJP president and MP Suresh Kashyap is also an MP from here. Suresh Kashyap won the seat in 2012 and 2017. On the other hand, after becoming an MP in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP gave ticket to Reena Kashyap, who was also a Zilla Parishad member.
