Sushma Swaraj’s husband Swaraj Kaushal shared this picture and wrote that it is our last picture together. This picture was taken by my friend Shahid Siddiqui at India International Center a day or two before his demise on 6th August 2019. Swaraj Kaushal has also tagged daughter Bansuri Swaraj and Sushma Swaraj’s Twitter with this picture.

Even today people remember his work

He is still remembered for the work he did when he was the Foreign Minister. Sushma Swaraj used to be very active on Twitter and helped many people. He was ordered to take quick action only after Indians stranded abroad expressed their views through Twitter. Sushma Swaraj had helped not only Indians but also many foreign citizens.

Both had met during school days

Both Sushma Swaraj and Swaraj Kaushal were law students. It was during this time that both of them met. Swaraj has worked as a lawyer in the Supreme Court. Along with this, he has also been the Governor of Mizoram in 1990. Sushma served as the External Affairs Minister from 2014-2019 during the first term of the Modi government. He has been awarded the Padma Vibhushan.
