Dengue in Uttar Pradesh: Not only the capital Lucknow, but the outbreak of dengue is spreading in many cities of the entire state. If officials are to be believed, more than a thousand cases of dengue have been registered in UP in the last three days, which has added to the concern of the UP government. So far four people have died due to dengue in the capital Lucknow while dengue engulfed 45 more people on Thursday, taking the cases to 1,498. The government has started fogging on a war footing to tackle dengue.

Massive campaign launched

However, the Lucknow Municipal Corporation was pulled up by the High Court for its poor management of dengue outbreak. After that, a 15-day comprehensive campaign was started by the Health Department to curb this disease. On the first day of the campaign on Thursday, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak and Mayor Sanyukta Bhatia flagged off 400 fogging and anti-larva vehicles from 1090 crossing.

400 vehicles are fogging all over the city

To combat dengue, medicines were sprayed from 400 fogging, anti-larva vehicles spread across the city. Divisional Commissioner Roshan Jacob and Municipal Commissioner Inderjit Singh visited the areas and took stock of it. These vehicles include 130 two-wheeler mounted fogging machines, 40 four-wheeler mounted fogging machines, 85 tractor tanker anti-larva machines, 70 battery operated anti-larva machines and 40 pyrethrum spray machines with six smog guns and nine sweeping machines. Huh.

Campaign being run in more than 60 areas

The campaign was carried out in more than 60 areas including Rana Pratap Marg, Rajajipuram, Krishnanagar, Jankipuram, Indiranagar, Jiyamau, Dalibagh and Vijayanagar. Additional Municipal Commissioner Pankaj Singh said, “A team from LMC and health department will visit areas where dengue cases are on the rise and make residents aware of the precautions. As per the weekly roster for the next 15 days under the special drive Fogging and anti-larval spraying will be done.

6 new patients were admitted to hospitals

On the other hand, the condition of six new patients was stated to be critical and they were admitted to Lokbandhu, SPM Civil and Balrampur hospitals. Chief Medical Officer Dr Manoj Agarwal said, “The situation is under control as less number of patients require platelets transfusion. There is no shortage of platelets.”

Most cases came in Aliganj on Thursday

“Hospitals have been asked to keep adequate availability of platelets for dengue cases,” he said. On Thursday, the maximum number of cases were reported from Aliganj. The Health Department has issued notices to six landlords who were found to have mosquito larvae. “They have been asked to clean the breeding site within 24 hours,” the chief medical officer said.
