New Delhi. The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 has proved to be a boon for wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik. That’s because he was picked in the five-match T20I series against South Africa instead of showing an explosive game in the season. When the Indian team came out to play the first match, Karthik got a spot in the playing XI as well. In this way, Karthik was seen in India’s playing XI after three years.
Know how many runs were scored in the last match
Karthik was last seen in India’s blue jersey on 9 July 2019. Then he played a match against New Zealand in the ICC ODI World Cup. It was the semi-final match in which India were defeated and Karthik played a poor innings of just 6 runs in 25 balls in this crucial match. After this Karthik did not get a place in the team, but he did not give up. He worked hard representing Tamil Nadu team in local cricket and roared in IPL 2022.

In IPL 2022, he played the role of finisher for RCB and after 3 years the team regained the place. When Karthik was seen commenting in England during the India-England Test series, it was said that his cricket career was over, although his return today was a shock for everyone. Dinesh Karthik has scored 330 runs in 16 matches in IPL this year at an average of 55 and a strike rate of 183.33. He remained unbeaten 10 times in 16 innings and scored half-centuries. His unbeaten 66 is his best individual performance.
