BHUBANESWAR, 21 September: The country’s largest engineering cluster is being set up at Chaudwar in Cuttack district of Odisha. Indranipatna Industrial Area has been selected for its cluster project which will act as a facilitation center for engineering based units. This project will be completed by 2023 March.
According to the report, apart from the construction of the shed, other construction work has started. About Rs 32 crore will be spent in making this cluster. In which the Central Government will invest Rs 18 crore and the Odisha government will invest Rs 7.19 crore and the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) will give Rs 7 crore.
The engineering cluster being developed will have state-of-the-art machinery, computer numerical control (CNC) equipment and equipment worth Rs 24 crore for the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector. It will also support entrepreneurs and startups in the fields of defence, aerospace, oil and natural gas.
