ISRO Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and Headquarters, Defense Staff have jointly conducted hypersonic vehicle trials. The tests achieved all required parameters and demonstrated high potential of hypersonic vehicle capability, information shared by ISRO.

After this trial, the country will get more strength in the field of defence. The most special thing about this vehicle is that it flies five times faster than the speed of sound. Which will prove to be an important weapon to thwart the antics of neighboring enemy countries Pakistan and China.

According to the information, a hypersonic vehicle can be an aeroplane, missile or spacecraft. Explain that hypersonic technology is considered the latest state-of-the-art technology. Many powerful countries of the world such as China, Russia, America and India are all working towards furthering the forces of hypersonic weapons.

Let us tell you that India has been working on hypersonic technology for the last few years. According to a report presented in the US Congress, India is engaged in making hypersonic missiles with Russia. This year, Russia reportedly used its Kinzhal hypersonic missile in the Ukraine war.

India is also developing an indigenous, dual-capable hypersonic cruise missile as part of its Hypersonic Technology Demonstrator Vehicle programme. This missile will be capable of firing conventional weapons as well as nuclear weapons.

India has earlier tested such technology in 2019 and September 2020. During this test, the speed of Hypersonic Technology Demonstrator Vehicle (HSTDV) equipped with scramjet engine was measured at 7500 km per hour. The HSTDV is not a weapon in itself, but is being developed as a carrier vehicle for hypersonic and long-range cruise missiles. According to US reports, India has built 12 such hypersonic wind tunnels where it can test missiles at 13 times the speed of sound.
