New Delhi, 30 September: A student of Jamia Millia Islamia, a Central University located in South-East Delhi, has been gunned down inside Delhi’s Holy Family Hospital campus. The bullet was allegedly fired by another student of Jamia University. The student is injured after being shot. The incident happened on Thursday night. According to Delhi Police, a PCR call was received at Jamia Nagar police station at around 9 pm on Thursday night regarding a dispute in the library inside Jamia Millia Islamia University.
A senior police officer said that during interrogation it was learned that there was a fight between two groups of students. This firing incident happened because of this controversy.
How did the shooting in Delhi’s hospital happen?
In the incident, a student, Noman Choudhary (26), a resident of Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut district, suffered a serious head injury and had gone to Holy Family Hospital for treatment, the official said. Where Nauman Ali, another student of Nauman Chaudhary, also came to the hospital to meet his friend. Meanwhile, a student of the second group, Jalal, a resident of Mewat in Haryana, along with his friends came to the hospital and fired at Nauman Ali outside the emergency ward, injuring him seriously.
Police started investigation
Nauman Ali has suffered a head injury. The injured were taken to AIIMS Trauma Centre. Crime team is inspecting the spot. Accordingly, legal action has been initiated at Jamia Nagar and New Friends Colony police stations, the official said.
