New Delhi, 07 June: An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian on Tuesday. One terrorist was killed by the security forces in the encounter. The Indian Army is giving a befitting reply to the terrorists on the spot. The encounter has started in the gardens of Badi Marg Alaura area of Shopian. Jammu and Kashmir Police has given this information.

At the same time, earlier today there was an encounter between terrorists and security personnel in Kupwara. In which two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were killed. One terrorist is from Pakistan and his name is Tufail. While the second terrorist has been identified as Ishtiaq Lone, he is a resident of Tral. He had recently joined Lashkar. An AK-56 rifle has been recovered from him.
Input was received for hiding terrorists
Jammu and Kashmir Police said that another encounter started in Chakratara area of Kupwara itself. Jammu and Kashmir Police and Army personnel are involved in this operation. According to the input received, there was news of some terrorists hiding in the area, after which the security personnel surrounded the area, after which an encounter with the terrorists started.
One terrorist killed in Sopore
Regarding Sopore encounter, IGP Vijay Kumar said that two terrorists were involved in the murder of Rahul Bhatt, one terrorist has been killed, while the other is left, we are behind him. Two terrorists were also involved in the Amreen Bhatt murder case, they have been identified and both have been killed in the encounter. The terrorist involved in the murder of Vijay Kumar has also been identified, we will arrest him soon.
