Ranchi, November 22- Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren handed over a check of Rs.3 lakh each from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to the dependents of 7 devotees of the Sikh community who died in the bus accident on September 17, 2022. The accident took place when a bus carrying pilgrims from Giridih district met with an accident on the Siwane river bridge at Tatijharia in Hazaribagh district.

This is how the accident happened
About 60 people were traveling in a private passenger bus going from Giridih to Ranchi. Most of them belonged to the Sikh community and were going to Ranchi to participate in a religious event. During this, in order to save a bike rider, the bus fell down from the bridge, breaking the railing of the river bridge near Tatijharia in Hazaribagh. Due to this, 7 passengers died and 24 people were injured. Let us tell you that the accident was so terrible that the passengers had to remove the roof of the bus by cutting it with a gas cutter. On Hazaribagh-Bagodar NH-100, the bus overturned in the river due to uncontrolled consumption of alcohol. 7 people had died in this. 45 people were injured. He was admitted to Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College. PM Narendra Modi and CM Hemant Soren expressed condolences on this horrific road accident.
