Ranchi: Severe cold continues in Jharkhand these days. The minimum temperature of many cities of the state including Ranchi remained below 10 degree Celsius. Due to this, the state government has issued an order to keep all the schools closed till January 15, 2023, giving relief to the students of classes 1 to 5. On the orders of State Education Minister Jagarnath Mahto, an order in this regard has also been issued by the department. Earlier, the state government had issued an order to keep all schools closed for children from class 1 to 5 from January 4 to 8.

Holiday for children from class 1 to 5, teachers will go to school

According to the order issued by the state government, there will be a holiday for children in all government and private schools from classes 1 to 5 till January 15, but during this time the presence of teachers in government primary schools will be mandatory. Teachers will go to school and manage school work and online data entry.

Children’s mid day meal will continue during vacation

Along with this, all government and non-government aided (including minority) schools will also continue the mid-day meal for the food security of poor children. Even during the period of school closure, instructions have been given to provide mid-day meal to the students of classes 1 to 5 of the nutritious sector as before.

Minimum temperature of Daltonganj reached 4.1 degree

These days it is getting cold in different parts of the state. Ranchi recorded a minimum temperature of 10.0 degrees Celsius today, while Daltonganj recorded a minimum temperature of 4.1 degrees Celsius. Jamshedpur recorded a minimum temperature of 10.0 degrees, Bokaro 7.1, Chaibasa 8.2, Deoghar 7.9, Giridih 8.2, Khunti 4.2, Ramgarh 6.4 and Simdega 5.4 degrees Celsius.
