Ranchi : The systematic movement of security forces in the extremists’ areas has an important role behind the continuous success in the operation against the militants in Jharkhand. If we look at the plans of the police for the last three years, then the security forces made their hideout in the extreme militancy affected area and started searching for the militants throughout the day.
Security forces recovered land mines from forests, security forces controlled the movement of militants, stopped their supply chain from food and drink to ammunition, went a long way in destroying the economic source Got success till All this was possible because of the camps of the security forces in the worst militancy affected areas. In the last three years, the Jharkhand Police and the CRPF have jointly set up 44 new security forces camps in the insurgent areas.
Of these, maximum 22 camps have been built in the year 2022. Out of the remaining 22 camps, 12 camps were built in 2020 and ten in 2021, when not only the state but the whole world was battling the global pandemic. Due to these camps of the security forces, the militants had to leave the area, they also faced difficulties in forming their cadres and they also had to face the problem of food and drink due to non-availability of ration. Through these camps, Jharkhand Jaguar and CRPF jawans are conducting search operations in the forests every day. Apart from this, the campaign against the Naxalites was made more sharp by changing the location of the camps that were already running.
As a result, Budha Pahad and Saranda are free from Naxalites. Apart from the tri-junction, Parasnath area, information about the presence of Naxalites in some new areas has reached the police, against whom the campaign is intensifying. 416 militants arrested, 14 surrendered, 11 killed
2022 was better for Jharkhand Police in anti-Naxal campaign. From January 1 to December 29 this year, the Jharkhand Police arrested 416 militants. Meanwhile, 14 militants surrendered, while 11 militants have been killed so far in the encounter with the security forces. So far this year, the security forces have also seized Rs 99.41 lakh in levy-extortion.
If we look at the figures of the last three years, since January 1, 2020, 1315 militants have been arrested, 48 militants surrendered, while 31 militants have been killed during the encounter during this period. The Jharkhand Police has also recovered one crore, 43 lakh 24 thousand rupees collected as levy-extortion.
