J&K: Heavy darshan in Chhota Kashi, due to continuous rain, water level of ‘Devika’ increased, many vehicles flowed

Srinagar, May 31. At present, the upheaval of weather is going on from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. Due to the rain in Kashmir for the last two days, a flood situation has arisen at many places. Several vehicles were washed away due to flash floods in Devika river due to heavy rains in Purmandal area of Jammu on Monday. According to the information received, on Monday, due to Somvati Amavasya, hundreds of people had come there for the darshan of Lord Shiva.

But in Purmandal, popularly known as Chhota Kashi, no one had thought that such an outbreak of rain would be seen. Due to heavy rains, the water level of Devika river located here has risen significantly, due to which many vehicles have been flooded, so far no casualty has been reported.

It may rain today
It is to be known that during the last 24 hours, there has been heavy rain in Jammu and Kashmir, while the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of heavy rains in many areas of Kashmir even today. The Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of thunderstorms in Jammu and Kashmir during the next 24 hours, while the minimum temperature is 13.7 degrees Celsius in Srinagar, 7.8 degrees in Pahalgam and 5.6 degrees Celsius in Gulmarg. While in Ladakh the minimum temperature is likely to be 3.3 degrees in Drass, 8.5 in Leh and 9.2 degrees in Kargil.
More rain expected than before
The Meteorological Department has said that this time in the monsoon season, more rain is expected in the state than before. Because the monsoon season is going to be very good all over the country and due to this, there will be heavy rain in monsoon in other states also. The IMD has said that the monsoon average rainfall is expected to be 103 per cent of the long period average which is good news for the farmers.
