Will connect cities to the national capital
In the interview given in Aaj Tak program, Gadkari gave information about the upcoming expressway in the country which will connect major Indian cities to the national capital. He told that roads are being constructed around Delhi at a cost of about 60 thousand crores. He told that he is also getting 26 green highways constructed in the country.

All these highways will start by the end of 2024
Gadkari is trying to start these highways in December. In response to a question, he said that at the end of 2024, Uttar Pradesh including Bihar will bring the country’s road infrastructure at par with America. Nitin Gadkari recalled his promise when he told the people of Bihar, UP and the citizens of the country that before 2024 ends, Indian road infrastructure will be at par with the United States.

EVs will cost less than petrol, diesel cars
Gadkari told that at present many mega road and tunnel projects like Kargil tunnel, Zoji-La tunnel are going on in the country. He also talked about the upcoming technologies like fiberglass steel which will be the replacement of contemporary steel, hydrogen-fuelled vehicles, ethanol pumps. The Union Minister said that in the coming days the cost of EVs will be lower than petrol, diesel cars. Gadkari said that work is on to develop infrastructure for EVs in the country.

Laws will be changed regarding speed limit
Nitin Gadkari said that the roads have become good, so the law regarding speed limit will be changed. He said that soon there will be a meeting with the Transport Ministers in which it will be decided what will be the speed limit on three lane, four lane, six lane and Axis Contra Express.

Road will be made of rubber
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that our government has come up with a scrapping policy, under which orders have been given to scrap vehicles older than 15 years. He told that rubberized bitumen will be used for making roads from the rubber powder coming out of tyres.
