New Delhi, June 03. Seven people have died after a bus caught fire in Karnataka’s Kalaburagi district. The passengers who were caught in the fire after the accident have been admitted to the hospital. It is being told that the bus caught fire after hitting a tempo. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai have condoled the accident.

The accident happened near Kamalapura town in Bellary district of Karnataka. When a bus caught fire on Friday, seven people were burnt to death. According to the police, the tempo rammed the bus after hitting the track, causing a fire. The bus was going from Goa to Hyderabad carrying 29 passengers. Some passengers immediately got off the bus during the accident. While some people got stuck in the bus and they could not get out and got seriously burnt. The bus completely burnt down in the accident. The driver also suffered serious injuries. Those injured in the accident have been admitted to hospitals in Kalaburgi.

PM Modi has expressed deep grief over the accident. He said, “Saddened by the accident in Kalaburagi district of Karnataka. My condolences are with those who have lost their loved ones due to this tragedy. I hope the injured get well soon. The local administration is helping the affected.

At the same time, Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai tweeted expressing grief over the accident. He said, ‘I am saddened to learn that people on board a bus were burnt alive and many were injured. I pray that the soul of the deceased rest in peace and the injured get a speedy recovery.
