Senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah said that the book titled “Siddu Nijakanasugalu” has been made with the aim of defaming and humiliating him ahead of the assembly elections in Karnataka. Siddaramaiah said that it is defamatory. Along with this, he said that he will soon take legal action against it. He said that the state elections are near and this book has been done with the aim of tarnishing and humiliating his image. He said that it is the Bharatiya Janata Party behind this.

Know what is written in the book

According to sources, the book is based on the alleged misrule of the previous Congress government in Karnataka led by Siddaramaiah and their ‘appeasement politics’. It has also highlighted some controversial and communally sensitive issues and incidents allegedly related to the tenure of former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

BJP behind the book

Siddaramaiah raised the question alleging that the BJP was behind the book. Using a popular proverb in Karnataka, he said

“I don’t know everything is yellow for people with jaundice. Tipu Who was dressed like Tipu Sultan, the 18th century ruler of the erstwhile Kingdom of Mysore and had a sword in his hand, it was Yeddyurappa and Shobha Karandlaje. Who was Sheikh Ali on Tipu Wrote the foreword to the book, isn’t this duality?” Siddaramaiah said, “Deliberately to humiliate me before the elections, they are bringing out a book. It is completely disgraceful. I will see what has to be done legally.”
