‘Karthik has developed into a finisher, will do well for India too’

New Delhi. India and Royal Challengers Bangalore fast bowler Siddharth Kaul has given a big statement. He highlighted the frankness of Dinesh Karthik’s role as a finisher in the shortest format of the game. Dinesh Karthik was released by Kolkata Knight Riders. However, the Tamil Nadu wicketkeeper-batsman came to RCB after fetching Rs 5.5 crore in the mega auction.

Karthik repaid the faith shown in him by RCB. He scored 330 runs in 16 matches at a strike rate of over 180. The Faf du Plessis-led side reached the playoffs and RCB finished third. Karthik was awarded for his performance in the IPL. He managed to return to the senior national team for the first time in 3 years for the upcoming 5-match T20I series against South Africa from 9 June.

Kail says that Karthik is a good finisher who can do a great job for the Indian team. He said, “I heard Dinesh Karthik talking with the coach about how RCB and myself should go with IPL preparation. It showed results and he has developed as a finisher. He is a good finisher and hopefully That he will do well for India as well.”

Meanwhile, Siddharth Kaul said that he is confident that RCB will be able to carry on from their good performance in IPL 2022 and give themselves a good chance of winning the trophy next year. “We should enter the field with a positive attitude. We will definitely win the trophy in the coming season.” Kaul got only one match to play but the senior pacer said it is important that players are ready to accept challenges. “A bowler and a player always have to believe in themselves, that is the most important thing. We must learn to accept challenges, challenges make us better,” he added.
