BRS now seems to be surrounded by a new dilemma. In fact, the party leaders want the BRS to contest the local body elections in other states, the party leadership is in a dilemma whether to start its electoral journey by contesting the local body elections or wait for the state assembly elections to be held later this year.
Party sources said leaders of Nanded Municipal Corporation (NMC), Dharmabad and surrounding areas have requested that they be allowed to contest the civic polls on BRS tickets. Telangana State Civil Supplies Corporation Chairman Sardar Ravinder Singh visited Nanded a few weeks ago, local leaders expressed their willingness to contest in the NMC polls to be held soon.
Senior BRS leader and vice-chairman of Telangana State Planning Board B Vinod Kumar said, “It is true that requests have been made to Maharashtra to contest NMC elections on BRS ticket, BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao will take a decision on the issue.”
