Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal today assured the farmer representatives who came to meet him at his residence Sant Kabir Kutir that the state government would soon take a decision in the interest of sugarcane farmers and sugar mills. The government has constituted a committee to determine the price of sugarcane. Beneficial decision will be taken by the committee keeping in view all the points including cost and recovery of sugar, price of sugarcane in neighboring states and demands of farmers etc.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal has appealed to the farmers not to adopt the method of farmer hartal. The closure of sugar mills is neither in the interest of the farmers nor the mills. That’s why end the farmer’s strike and let the sugar mills run smoothly. He called upon the farmers that farmer brothers should not get misled by anyone in any way. Farmer brothers should take a wise decision and let the mills run.

CM Khattar said that the state government is always standing shoulder to shoulder with the farmers. In the last 8 years, our government has continuously started new schemes in the interest of farmers and farmers. The committee constituted by the state government will look into the demands of the sugarcane farmers and take appropriate decisions, which will be beneficial for all in the long run.
