Marathi actress Ketki Chitale got bail, shared derogatory post against NCP chief Sharad Pawar
Mumbai, June 22 : Marathi actress Ketki Chitale (29) got bail on Wednesday. He was arrested last month for posting a derogatory post against Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar on Facebook. The actress was granted bail by a Thane court.
Ketki was arrested on May 14. The case was registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion and race.
Film and TV actress Ketki was arrested last month by Thane police over a post she had purportedly shared on a Facebook page. Which was in the form of poetry and was allegedly written by someone else. It included offensive phrases like “hell awaits” and “you hate Brahmins” in an alleged reference to Pawar.
