Gwalior, June 20:
This time on World Yoga Day, yoga will be practiced simultaneously on 70 historical heritage sites across the country, including four heritage sites of Madhya Pradesh namely Khajuraho, Amarkantak, Sanchi and Gwalior fort. The program of Yoga Day will be organized at the historical fort in Gwalior. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia will be the chief guest of this program.

International Yoga Day

The programs will be broadcast live simultaneously across the country. In the program Patanjali Yog Samiti, Prajapita Brahma Kumari, Mahila Patanjali Krida Bharati Vidya Bharti NSS Nehru Yuva Kendra Scouts and NCC cadets besides students of schools and colleges will also participate.

This program, which will be held from 6:30 am to 7:30 am, will end in the grounds of Man Mandir and Scindia School. More than 2,000 students and general public will participate. District Education Officer Shri Vikas Joshi informed that apart from these programmes, practice of Common Yoga Protocol will be done in all government and non-government high schools and high secondary schools of the district on World Yoga Day.

Joshi told that the meetings have been completed by constituting an organizing committee for this. Dinesh Chakankar, Divisional Nodal Officer and District Yoga in-charge of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav said that apart from the block headquarters of the district, the World Yoga Day is also celebrated at historically important places like Sankhni of Pichore Bhitarwar of Behat Dabra of Murar Rural Development Block and Panihar of Ghatigaon. But the Common Yoga Protocol will be practiced.

Earlier, District Education Officer Shri Vikas Joshi, District Sports Officer Hotam Singh, District Yoga In-charge Dinesh Chakankar and Dr. Lokendra Singh Kamar reached Gwalior fort and took stock of the preparations for the program. Later, in the meeting of the organizing committee held at Utkrisht Murar, the arrangements were reviewed.
