A Muslim couple from Chennai has donated Rs 1.2 crore to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), the trust that runs the temple of Lord Venkateswara in Tirupati. This trust oversees the country’s richest temple located in Andhra Pradesh. On Tuesday, this donation was dedicated to the temple on behalf of Chennai resident Subina Banu and her husband Abdul Ghani. His family was also present on this occasion. The donation was formally received by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Executive Officer AV Dharma Reddy.
Donated furniture, utensils and demand draft
Furniture and utensils worth Rs 87 lakh have been donated by the Muslim couple for the newly constructed Padmavati Rest House in Tirumala. Apart from this, he has also given a separate demand draft of Rs 15 lakh for SV Nitya Anna Prasadam Trust. A picture has been shared, in which this family from Chennai is seen with the temple authorities. According to a report in Times of India, Reddy has also thanked him for his generosity after receiving donations from this Muslim family.
In February, a devotee donated Rs 9.2 crore
In February this year, a 76-year-old devotee from Chennai donated Rs 9.2 crore to this 10th century temple. The devotee passed away recently and his sister has handed over the documents of immovable property worth Rs 6 crore and a demand draft of Rs 3.2 crore to TTD Board Chairman YV Subba Reddy. There is no dearth of rich devotees donating to this temple, but it is a different matter for a Muslim devotee to show such faith.

According to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam sources, Abdul Ghani and his wife Subina Banu developed faith in Lord Venkateswara and were impressed by the dedicated pilgrimage services being offered in Tirumala, they supported it through donations on their behalf. has decided. Later the Veda-pundits of TTD recited the Vedasirvachanam and the trust officials handed over the temple prasadam to Abdul and his family.
