Two-time former councilor Pappu Vilas did not withdraw his name in ward 34 of Bhopal

Ward number 34 located in the central assembly constituency of the capital Bhopal is the center of political activities. Jahangirabad, Shaban Chauraha, Jinsi and Bank Colony and some areas of Vidhan Sabha also come under this ward. Yashwant Yadav of Congress has been a councilor here for the last 10 years. This time too Congress has fielded Yashwant Yadav as its candidate from Ward 34. On the other hand, BJP has made Deepak Sharma its councilor candidate. Due to which there is resentment among the local BJP leaders. Pappu Vilas, a two-time BJP councilor in the ward, has made up his mind to contest as an independent. Local people believe that Deepak Sharma is an outsider.

There is a huge opposition to the Congress councilor candidate in ward number 34, the local people say that even after being a councilor for 10 years, he did not do much work in the area. In such a situation, there can be a competition of BJP vs BJP. Because Pappu Vilas is one of the senior leaders of BJP.

Darshan or Congress had nominated Mohammad Saheem as the councilor’s candidate, but he was given the ticket due to opposition from former Leader of Opposition Mohammad Sagir. Congress leader Sheikh Salim had also filled the nomination from this ward. He told that repeatedly pressure was being made on him to withdraw his name. When Salim spoke abusively about the former mayor’s suit, Sunil Sood’s supporter Mohammad Faheem got into an argument with him. Salim and his daughter-in-law sat on the dharna. He told that his life is in danger from former Mayor Sood. They sat on the dharna for about 30 minutes.

After Bhopal, 398 candidates are in the fray in 85 wards.

Congress rebel Raisa Malik had filed nomination from Aam Aadmi Party, but she did not submit B form at the last moment. Due to which his nomination has become independent, now Malti Rai from BJP, Congress’ Vibha Patel, Priya Yaduvanshi Makwana from BSP, Sangeeta Prajapati from Jayalok Party, JU Manju Yadav and Independent Accountant Seema Nath will contest. On the last day of withdrawal of nominations, 338 councilor candidates withdrew their nominations, now 398 candidates will be in the electoral fray in total ward 85.
