Bhubaneswar: According to a latest report, Odisha has emerged as the number one state in the country in fiscal management. According to the ranking report of CareAge States, Odisha has topped among the large states in fiscal management. Better scores on revenue and fiscal deficit and healthy debt management indicators (Consolidated Sinking Fund and Guarantee Redemption Fund) have helped Odisha top the rankings in the fiscal category.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has congratulated the State Finance Department for this achievement. On behalf of the CMO, it was said in a tweet, ‘Congratulations Finance Department, because according to the ranking report of CareAge States, Odisha is at the top in fiscal management among large states. Odisha scored high on revenue and fiscal deficit and healthy debt management indicators (CSF and GRF), which helped the state top the list.

Let us tell you that CareAge has released the first edition of the ranking of states. The report provides a comprehensive assessment on the performance of the states. The ranking is based on seven parameters – economic, fiscal, social, infrastructure, financial inclusion, environment and governance.
