Bhubaneswar: Odisha, a middle-income state, has every chance of turning into a high-income state by 2036. Amarendra Das, Secretary, Orissa Economics Association (OEA), said this while participating in OEA’s Odisha Vision 2036 Conclave in Bhubaneswar on Thursday. The association is preparing OEA’s Odisha Vision 2036. The conclave was organized by OEA in association with the Department of Analytical and Economics, Utkal University and School of Humanities and Social Sciences, National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar.
OEA President Keshab Das said that the purpose of this conclave is to make the vision document inclusive and comprehensive. Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal said that the development vision of Odisha is based on peace, prosperity and happiness. He said that while envisioning for Odisha in 2036, we should go beyond development metrics. The conclave was attended by politicians, media persons, educationists, doctors, development professionals and economists.
