Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik approves four drinking water projects

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday approved four mega drinking water projects worth Rs 639.27 crore for Malkangiri district. Speaking to the media at a meeting held at the Circuit House, Chitrakonda MLA Purna Chandra Baka thanked the Chief Minister for sanctioning the projects.
He said that the Chief Minister was committed to provide safe drinking water to the people living in rural areas across the State. Once implemented the projects will benefit 3,13,620 people living in 453 villages of Khairput, Mathili, Malkangiri and Kalimela blocks. The Chief Minister has given instructions to start all the four projects within 24 months.
