19 Trains cancelled: Indian Railways has canceled 19 trains and rerouted 20 trains after a goods train derailed at Odisha’s Korai railway station. Along with this, Railways has partially canceled 4 more trains. The way the goods train derailed on Monday, 3 people were killed, while four people were injured. The goods train going from Dongoposi in Jharkhand to Chhatarpur derailed at 6.44 am on Monday, due to which the operation of both up and down trains on this route was halted. According to the Railways, the names of the people who died in the accident were Abujan Bibi, Parvati, Kandhai Bindhani, all of whom were residents of Jaipur in Rajasthan.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has announced a compensation of Rs 5-5 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased, Rs 1-1 lakh to the seriously injured and Rs 25,000 to those with minor injuries. has announced. Accident Relief Train and Accident Relief Medical Team were dispatched to the spot immediately after the Odisha accident. The bogies which were damaged at the front and rear of the goods train have been removed.
According to the railways, the damaged coaches were removed from the track at 5.35 am. After this, the work of repairing the track was started. Passengers who were stranded in different trains due to this accident were provided free food at different stations and trains. Along with this, the stranded passengers by road were taken to the nearest railway station free of cost. Around 30 passengers were stranded at Jakhapura and around 300 at Haridaspur.
