Rizwan played a slow innings
Pakistan had a target of 171 runs in the final. The team expected a strong start from the wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan, who was in excellent form, but did not get to see. After losing two wickets at 22, Rizwan took his time as usual to carry on his innings. Rizwan completed his fifty off 46 balls and was dismissed after scoring only 55 runs in 49 balls. During his half-century innings, only 4 fours and only six were seen with his bat.
Rahul is also a troll
KL Rahul has always been the target of critics for his slow innings and very low strike rate in quick cricket. In this tournament too, KL’s strike rate was only 122.22. Rizwan, like Rahul, has to face trolling for scoring runs at a low strike rate in T20 cricket. In the Asia Cup 2022, the Pakistan opener scored 281 runs in 6 matches, but his strike rate was only 117.57.
Fans made fun of
Mohammad Rizwan is being compared to KL Rahul on Twitter due to slow batting and not being able to win the team and fans are also making fun of him. One fan wrote, ‘Rizwan is Rahul of Pakistan.’ One user tweeted and wrote, ‘Rizwan is the Ultra Pro Max version of KL Rahul.’ One fan wrote, ‘Just like Pakistan has Babar like Kohli, Asif Ali like Pandya, so is Rizwan like Rahul.’
Pakistan has their own KL Rahul in Rizwan, Babar is showing how Indian’s feel/felt what Kohli fans went through.
