Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today participated in the gratitude and respect ceremony organized by Sirha, Guniya, Gaita, Pujari, Manjhi, Baja-Mohariya, Aath Paharia, Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club, Gothan Samiti and Panchayati Raj Representative in village Girola of Bakavand development block of Bastar district. . Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has said that the police personnel are working shoulder to shoulder with the villagers. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel made several announcements for the development of the area on the demand of Mr. Lakheshwar Baghel, Chairman of Bastar Development Authority. The Chief Minister inaugurated and performed Bhumi Pujan of various 98 development works costing about Rs 131.61 crore in Girola, in which 27 works costing Rs 68.42 crore were inaugurated and 71 works costing Rs 65.18 crore were done.

Along with this, the Chief Minister also provided Community Forest Resource Rights Letter, Community Forest Rights Recognition Letter to Devguri and Matagudi, loans under KCC to forest rights leased farmers. Along with this, under the TB-free Bastar campaign, through the Health Department and Red Cross Society, additional nutrition food food baskets to TB patients by Nikshay Mitra, loan for employment through Inter-Business Finance Development Corporation, under the National Family Assistance Scheme run by the Social Welfare Department. Under amount, Electric chalk for pottery work by Mati Kala Board, amount was distributed to beneficiaries under National Horticulture Mission and social status letter to school students.

He said that earlier in Bastar people were being forced to throw mahua on the streets, we bought mahua at Rs 30 a kg and tamarind at Rs 31 a kg during the lockdown. In Bastar, 65 types of minor forest produce are being procured on support price. Tendupatta is being given a remuneration of Rs 4000 per standard bag. He said that along with paddy, the state government is also procuring Kodo, Kutki, Ragi at support price. Last time 18000 farmers had sold paddy in Bastar district, this time 34000 farmers have sold paddy.

The Chief Minister said that today farmers, poor and forest produce collectors have money. Closed schools were opened in Bastar. Two Swami Atmanand English medium schools were started in every development block. Work has been done to improve health facilities from the Haat Bazar Clinic scheme to the district hospital. The state government is working in the fields of education, health and employment. It is our endeavor to bring changes in the lives of the people, to become the identity of Bastar’s culture, and the center of people’s faith is being strengthened. The work of distribution of forest rights recognition letters, which was stopped, was resumed and thousands of people were benefitted.

On this occasion, District Incharge and Industry Minister Kawasi Lakhma, MP Deepak Baij, Rajya Sabha MP Phoolodevi Netam, Bastar Development Authority Chairman Lakheshwar Baghel, Handicrafts Development Board Chairman Chandan Kashyap, Chitrakot MLA Rajman Benzam, MLA Anoop Nag, Vice President of Indravati Development Authority Rajeev Sharma, CREDA President Mithilesh Swarnakar, Fishermen Welfare Board Chairman MR Nishad were present.

The Chief Minister inaugurated the new District Cooperative Bank branch at Bajavand (Bakawand) for the expansion of banking facilities in Bastar district. Inaugurated ATM van for Nadi Sagar and ATM at Bade Kilepal. While presiding over the programme, Bastar Development Authority Chairman Lakheshwar Baghel apprised the Chief Minister about the various demands of the area. On this occasion, District in-charge and Industries Minister Mr. Kawasi Lakhma, MP Deepak Baij, Rajya Sabha MP Phoolodevi Netam while addressing the gathering mentioned the changes coming from the plans of the state government. The welcome speech was given by Guniya Samarth Mandavi.
