New Delhi, June 21:
At the invitation of President Xi Jinping, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the 14th BRICS Summit to be held in China via digital medium from 23-24 June 2022. Simultaneously, the leaders of the BRICS countries will participate in the high-level talks on global development in Beijing on June 24, which will be hosted by Xi. The Ministry of External Affairs has confirmed this.
The theme of the summit is ‘Promoting High Quality BRICS Partnership, Beginning a New Era for Global Development’. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, BRICS cooperation in areas such as counter-terrorism, trade, health, traditional medicine, environment, science and technology and innovation, agriculture, technical and vocational education and training, and MSMEs are expected to be discussed during the 14th BRICS summit. .

The 14th summit of BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) is being held digitally in Beijing on 23 June, which will be hosted by Chinese President Xi Jinping. Besides Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, leaders from Brazil and South Africa are expected to attend the summit along with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
