Before the presentation of the Union Budget 2023-24, a meeting of economists was organized in NITI Aayog. In which many senior officials including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman were present. During this, the PM took the opinion of economists on the Indian economy. Also discussed the challenges to come in the future.

In his meeting with economists, PM Modi lauded the success of India’s digital story and the rapid adoption of fintech (financial technology) across the country, reported news agency PTI. He said that public, private sector have to work in synergy to take advantage of the emerging global opportunities. Also, they need to think out of the box.

Budget will come on February 1
Let us tell you that before the NDA government there was no fixed date for presenting the budget, but PM Modi made a big change during his tenure. Under which the budget is presented every year on February 1 only. Earlier, the general budget and the railway budget used to be separate, but now it has become one.

Budget session to start from 31st
According to Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi, the budget session of Parliament will start from January 31 this year. On its first day, President Draupadi Murmu will address the joint sitting of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. He told that this session will run till April 6 in two phases. The first phase is from 31 January to 14 February, while the second phase will start from 12 March till 6 April.
