Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday. The meeting between the two leaders took place at Hyderabad House in New Delhi. During this, many issues were discussed between the two. The Egyptian President, who arrived in New Delhi on Tuesday evening, was accorded a ceremonial welcome at the Rashtrapati Bhavan this morning. President Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Modi and many other leaders were present on the occasion. Abdel Fateh Al Sisi is the chief guest of India’s Republic Day celebrations this year.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said in a statement that it is a moment of pride for him to participate in the glorious national celebration and to be an honored guest. He said that relations between India and Egypt are characterized by balance and stability.

A high-level delegation, comprising 5 ministers and senior officials, also accompanied President Sisi of Egypt for his official visit to India from 24-27 January. Ahead of his meeting with PM Modi today, Abdel Fateh Al Sisi visited Rajghat to pay tribute to Bapu.
