Mysore, 21 June. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached the Mysore Palace grounds in Karnataka today on the occasion of International Yoga Day. Addressing the people on the occasion of Yoga Day, PM Modi said that warm wishes to all the people of the country and the world on the 8th International Day of Yoga. Today, on the occasion of Yoga Day, I salute the cultural capital of Karnataka, Mysore, the land of spirituality and yoga. Today, Yoga is becoming the authentic basis of global cooperation, giving the confidence of a healthy life to human beings. The pictures of yoga which were seen a few years ago only in homes, at the spiritual center, are now coming from every corner of the world.

When the world faced Corona in the last two years, Yoga has played an important role in these circumstances. Yoga has now become a global festival, yoga is not only for an individual but for the entire humanity. So this time the theme of International Yoga Day is Yoga for Humanity. I congratulate the UN and all countries for taking this message of Yoga to the entire humanity. For Yoga, our Rishis, Maharishis have said that Yoga brings peace to the earth. Yoga brings peace in the society, brings peace in our country and the world. Yoga brings peace to the Universe.
PM Modi said that for the people of the world, yoga is not only a part of life for us today, but yoga is now becoming the way of life. Yoga brings peace within us, Yoga does not only bring peace to the individual, but it brings peace to the society, Yoga brings peace to the country and the world. Yoga brings peace to the universe. This whole universe starts from our body and soul, the universe starts from us. Yoga makes us aware and brings awareness in us.
