New Delhi, 23 September: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit London in October next month. This visit of PM Modi to London will be important for India and the UK Bilateral Free Trade Agreement (FTA). People familiar with the matter have said that India and the UK want to ensure Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to London next month to sign a bilateral free trade agreement (FTA). Most of the formal talks for the FTA have been completed in five rounds of talks between the two sides and only a few issues are yet to be resolved. The leadership of both the countries has said that they want to conclude the agreement by Diwali.
An official aware of the developments said, India and the UK are confident of completing the FTA before Diwali and are expected to sign the agreement by trade ministers in the presence of Indian and British prime ministers.
