Patiala: Following the order of the Honorable Government of Punjab, Deputy Commissioner Patiala Sakshi Sahni said that following the instructions of the Punjab Government to review all the firearms licenses in the district within three months, the District Magistrate’s Office took action and suspended 274 firearms licenses. Huh.
Giving more details, the Deputy Commissioner said that 274 arms licenses in the district have been canceled by giving notices. He said that why the license should not be canceled as despite repeated opportunities he had not deposited the additional weapons kept with him, he has also been asked to deposit them with immediate effect.
The Deputy Commissioner further stated that under Section 9 of the Arms Act, Cr.P.C. All arms licenses bound under section 107/110 of CrPC are also being suspended.
