Punjab: CM Bhagwant Mann met the family of martyr constable Kuldeep Bajwa, handed over a check of 2 crores

CM Mann said that as we had said, Rs 1 crore is being given to the government and Rs 1 crore by HDFC Bank, the insurance company of Punjab Police, to the person who was martyred in the line of duty.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann reached Gurdaspur today to meet the family of martyr constable Kuldeep Bajwa. During this, he expressed grief by meeting the family and gave an ex-gratia amount of two crores. Talking to the media after the meeting, CM Mann said that Kuldeep Singh was chasing the gangsters who were running away after looting a car, during which the gangsters shot him, due to which he became a martyr. He told that Constable Kuldeep Singh was a very brave and strong-willed person and the family also told that he had a sense of service, because of which the stoves of many people’s houses used to burn.
CM Mann said that as we had said, Rs 1 crore is being given to the government and Rs 1 crore by HDFC Bank, the insurance company of Punjab Police, to the person who was martyred in the line of duty. He said that although there is no value of life, but this will provide financial help to the family. Along with this, CM Mann also announced that the stadium of this village and about 1.25 kilometer long road will also be named after Shaheed Kuldeep Singh.
