Western Railway has issued a statement in the Owaisi Train Stone case. Officials say that some “grit” hit the glass window of the train due to ongoing engineering work on the track. Let us tell you that there was an allegation of stone pelting incident on a window of Vande Bharat Express in Gujarat. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi was also aboard the train. On Monday, the AIMIM had termed the incident as “stone pelting”. Now the Railways has denied stone pelting and termed it as a case of ballast colliding during construction work.

According to AIMIM leader Waris Pathan, Owaisi and AIMIM’s Gujarat unit president Sabir Kabaliwala and other AIMIM leaders were traveling from Ahmedabad to Surat. At the time of the incident, pictures of the window panes of the train had come to the fore. Sharing pictures of broken window panes, the AIMIN leader tweeted in Hindi, “Today evening when we travel in ‘Vande Bharat Express’ train from Ahmedabad to Surat with Asaduddin Owaisi sir, Sabir Kabaliwala sahab and AIMIM national team. Some unknown people pelted stones on the train and broke the glass.
Railways rejects AIMIM’s claim
When the matter caught fire, Rajesh Parmar, Superintendent of Police, Western Railway said on Tuesday that there was no stone pelting on the train in which Owaisi and others were traveling. On the damage to the glass windows, he said it was not a case of stone pelting and some “ballast” hit the glass window of the train due to the ongoing engineering work on the track near Ankleshwar in Bharuch district. “It was not a case of stone pelting,” the officer said. Owaisi was sitting away from the window. He said the broken window has been replaced and an officer of the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Dy.SP) is probing the incident.
Regarding the security arrangements made during the MP’s journey, Parmar said that six Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel and three Government Railway Police (GRP) personnel were present at the four doors of the coach in which Owaisi was traveling. The train was moving slowly as engineering work is going on there, he said. Meanwhile, the window cracked as soon as it hit something like ballast, but it is not a case of stone pelting.
What did the Railway Engineering Department say?
The engineering department of the railways said some grit flew off and hit the window panes. Now the window has been changed. Officers of the rank of deputy superintendent are probing the incident. Earlier, Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of Western Railway also confirmed that the window was damaged. He said a stone hit the window of the train, but “there was no damage on the interior of the glass.”
No damage on the inside of the glass

AIMIM attacks BJP
At the AIMIM rally in Surat on Monday night after the incident, Pathan claimed that two stones were thrown one after the other. He said the stones were so heavy that the glass window where Owaisi was sitting with his team members broke.
Owaisi’s window was stoned
Addressing the public meeting, the AIMIM leader said, (Prime Minister) Modiji, what is happening? Sometimes animals are crushed by Vande Bharat. When we were 22-25 km away from Surat, I can say from the display on the train, hit a stone?? The window of the train where Owaisi was sitting was hit with a stone and the window panes were broken.
BJP vs AIMIM before elections
He said that he has evidence of the incident in the form of photographs. It was a heavy stone that broke the window glass. Waris Pathan said, do whatever, throw stones, set fire, but the voice of Haq will not stop.
