New Delhi, 22 September: People are suffering due to heavy rains in Uttar Pradesh. Due to heavy rains, an alert has been issued in many districts of UP. On the other hand, in Delhi NCR too, today the rain has worsened the condition of the people. In view of the heavy rains for the next few days, keeping in mind the safety of children going to school till class 8, orders have been issued to keep schools closed in many districts of the state including Noida.

In many districts of the state including Noida, orders have been issued to keep schools closed for a day. In Aligarh, Kanpur, Sitapur, Bahraich, Unnao and the capital Lucknow, district magistrates have also ordered closure of schools. The District Magistrate of Noida has issued an order on Thursday that the schools up to class 8 of all the boards of the district will remain closed on Friday i.e. 23 September.

Ghaziabad District Magistrate Rakesh Kumar Singh has also declared a holiday for classes 1 to 8 on Friday in view of the possibility of heavy rains.

On the other hand, after heavy rains in Gurugram today, the district administration has issued advisory for all corporate offices and private institutions on Friday, 23 September. The administration said that the working employees should be allowed to work from home on Friday, so that traffic jams due to rain can be avoided and road and drain construction agencies can easily carry out their repair and maintenance work.

All private educational institutions located in the district have also been advised to declare September 23 as a holiday in their schools or colleges in public interest. Apart from this, the District Basic Education Officer has given orders to keep the schools from nursery to 12th closed in Aligarh for the next two days i.e. till September 24. In view of the rain warning, the Agra administration has also asked schools up to class 12 to remain closed on 23 and 24 September. Schools up to class 8 in Mainpuri will remain closed for two days.
