He has also made an incomparable contribution in eradicating superstitions and evil practices and in establishing old age homes. Gehlot on Tuesday addressed the function organized on the 15th Nirvana Day of Swami Shivanand Ji Maharaj at village Bhedoli in Bamanwas assembly constituency of Sawai Madhopur.

Success of Jal Jeevan Mission possible only through ERCP

The Chief Minister said that the state government would complete the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP) with its own resources. 9600 crore rupees have been approved now, the work will not stop. He said that Jal Jeevan Mission in these districts can also be successful only if water is received from ERCP. That’s why the central government should declare ERCP as a national project, so that 13 districts get water for drinking and irrigation.

There are no schemes like Rajasthan anywhere in the country

Gehlot said that there are no public welfare schemes like Rajasthan anywhere in the country. Under the Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana, free treatment up to Rs 10 lakh, accident insurance up to Rs 5 lakh and all the expenses of kidney, heart and other transplants are being borne by the state government. The state is a pioneer in providing such facilities in the medical field.
