Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that providing social security to the people of the state is our topmost priority. Pension is being provided to about 1 crore people by the state government. He said that just as the then central government has provided social and economic support to everyone by implementing the right to education, health, information and food in the entire country, in the same way, to provide equal social security in the country, the central government has to ‘right To Social Security’ Act should be implemented. For this, a unanimous proposal was made by the members of the Council of Ministers in the Chintan Shivir, under which a letter will be written by the State Government to the Central Government.

90 percent of the population got the benefit of health insurance from Chiranjeevi

It was told in the meeting that institutional delivery in Rajasthan is more than the national average. Also, in terms of vaccination coverage, Rajasthan is four percent ahead of India’s average. About 1.38 crore families have been registered under the Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme. The result of this scheme is that about 90 percent of the state’s population has now got health insurance. While the national average is only 41 percent. So far, 31.58 lakh patients have received free treatment worth Rs 3625 crore under the Chiranjeevi scheme. Under the Chief Minister Free Nirogi Rajasthan Yojana, complete treatment along with tests and medicines is being provided free of cost in government hospitals. The estimated expenditure on the scheme is being done around Rs 1500 crore.

The Chief Minister said that every section is benefiting from the welfare schemes of the state government. In Indira Rasoi, nutritious food is being served to the public for eight rupees. The state government is giving a grant of Rs 17 on every plate. 211 new colleges have been opened in the state, including 94 girls colleges. The government has decided to open colleges on the nomination of 500 girls in schools.
