Republic Day Parade: For the first time in this year’s Republic Day Parade, many such things have happened on the duty path which has never happened before. For the first time, women camel riders of BSF were seen in the Republic Day parade. 16 contingents of Armed Forces, Central Para Military Force, Delhi Police, National Cadet, NSS participated in the parade. Apart from this, 19 military pipes and drum bands took part in the Republic Day parade.

Earlier, female camel riders were never seen in the Republic Day parade. Camel riding was taught to 24 BSF women, they were given due training in camel riding. Out of which 12 camel riding women were selected for the parade. Even before this, these women had participated in the BSF Raising Day Parade. These women marched on the duty path from Vijay Chowk to Red Fort in traditional attire.

The women high riders included Sonal, Nisha, Bhagwati, Ambika, Kusum, Priyanka, Kaushalya, Kajal, Bhawna and Hina. These women are from Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. These women ride camels in special dresses. This outfit is designed by renowned designer in Jodhpuri bandhgala and traditional style. Women seen in traditional pugs which are very popular in Rajasthan

Got to see the sight of women power on the path of duty. Lieutenant Commander Disha Amrit, BSF Camel Riders Mahila Tukdi, women leading the police band took the salute from President Draupadi Murmu. The way the strength of women was seen in today’s parade won everyone’s heart. The important thing is that for the first time a tribal woman President is participating in the Republic Day parade. Along with this, for the first time the power of Agniveers was also seen in the parade. For the first time, Agniveers took part in the march, in which 6 women Agniveers also participated. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman also could not stop herself after seeing the women power in the parade and stood up and clapped to honor the women.
