The country is busy preparing to celebrate the 74th Republic Day. The Republic Day parade is also going on in full swing. On January 26, the Indian Army will parade with only Made in India weapons and equipment. During this, vintage weapons will also be displayed there, so they are Made in India. During this, 25 powder guns will be displayed. This gun was also used in the 21-gun salute, which has now been replaced by the 105 mm India Field Gun. Along with this, a lot of special things will be seen in this parade. This time, K-9 Vajra Cannon, MBT Arjun, Nag Anti-Tank Guided Missile, Bramhos Supersonic Cruise Missile, Aakar Air Defense Missile and Quick Reaction Fighting Vehicle will be shown in the Republic Day Parade.

The Egyptian military contingent and Agniveer will also take part in the parade to be held on 26 January. Apart from this, women soldiers who are part of the camel contingent of BSF will participate. The introduction of women power will also be seen in the Republic Day parade. A contingent of 144 sailors of the Navy, IL-38 aircraft of the Air Force will also be on display during this period. This aircraft will make its last flight during the parade.
Giving information about the parade to be held on January 26, Major General Bhavnish Kumar said that the parade will start from Vijay Chowk at 10.30 am and the contingent will march till Red Fort. The parade’s traditional route was shortened due to restrictions during the pandemic. Self-reliant India will be the main focus of this year’s parade as most of the weapons that will be displayed on the duty path will be indigenous.
This time 8 marching contingents will also participate in the parade. Out of this, 6 pieces will be from Army while one each will be from Navy and Air Force. Altogether 16 contingents will participate in the parade this time. In which police, paramilitary units will also be there. The indigenous 105 mm India Field Gun will replace the British era 25 Ponder Gun, which was used for 21 gun salutes during World War II. Last year also this indigenous gun was used, but for the first time it will be displayed on the occasion of Republic Day.
