New Delhi, 21 September. A Delhi court has reserved judgment against Priyanka Gandhi’s husband Robert Vadra for confiscation of FDR and initiation of legal proceedings for violating the terms and conditions imposed on foreign travel. In the case, a petition was filed against Vadra on behalf of the Enforcement Directorate, which was heard on Wednesday.

According to information, Vadra, the husband of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, had offered an unconditional apology before the court. In an affidavit, Vadra said that he made a mistake unintentionally. He should not have stayed in Dubai. At the same time, the ED told the court that action should be initiated against him. He is presently out on bail in the money laundering case filed by the ED.

A Delhi court had last month expressed displeasure for allegedly violating the terms and conditions imposed on him. On 12 August, he was granted permission by the court to travel to the United Kingdom (UK) via the United Arab Emirates. But he stayed in Dubai for several days. After that he traveled to London.

In a Monday order, Special Judge Nilofer Abida Parveen objected to Vadra’s explanation for staying in Dubai due to medical necessity during his visit to the UK. He said he was unable to accept Vadra’s claim. In such a situation, the court issued a show cause notice and asked why his FDR should not be deposited.

At the same time, referring to the tickets, the court said that a copy of the tickets indicated that Vadra was to stay in Dubai from August 25 to 29, then he was to travel to London on August 29. However, in response to this, Vadra, in his post-return affidavit, stated that he had stayed in the UAE before resuming onward journey as he had Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) in his left leg and had to rest between long-haul flights. was advised to do.
