Speed up the work of setting up Haryana Sports Academy, CM Manohar Lal gave instructions to the officers

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal directed the officials to expedite the work of setting up Haryana Sports Academy so that the players coming from all over the country could be given excellent training here. Apart from this, he said that the Sports Rehabilitation Center being built in Haryana should set an example in the country that Haryana not only provides best sports facilities to its players but also helps them in case of injury. The Chief Minister also directed the officers to immediately outsource the management for running the Haryana Sports Rehabilitation Centre.

The Chief Minister gave these instructions during the review meeting of Khelo India Youth Games-2021. Minister of State for Sports Sandeep Singh was also present in the meeting. In Khelo India Youth Games-2021, Haryana was champion in every field but the infrastructure available for swimming, athletics and gymnastics needs special up-gradation.
The Chief Minister asked the officials to construct all-weather swimming pools meeting international standards in the state so that the players could practice throughout the year. Similarly, suitable facilities should be ensured for athletes and gymnasts so that these sports can also be promoted in the state, he added. He said that players will also be prepared for Khelo India Youth Games and other international sports events.
Minister Sandeep Singh apprised the Chief Minister that the youth of Nuh district have immense potential for sports, which can be taken forward by including them in sports activities. Thereafter, Manohar Lal asked the concerned officials to explore the opportunities for setting up athletic track and gymnasium in Nuh district.
