Strictness on Hyderabad illegal constructions, 25 thousand buildings on radar, Telangana government will hold all-party meeting

Telangana government minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav told that Hyderabad illegal constructions are a big issue. The state government is planning to convene an all-party meeting soon to take suggestions for action against illegal constructions. Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav told media persons after the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Legislature Party meeting on Friday that all concerned departments responded immediately after receiving information about the fire at a private store in Nallagutta area on Wednesday.

Due to the presence of chemicals, the fire could not be brought under control immediately, he added. A NIT (National Institute of Technology) team is checking the structural quality and action will be initiated based on the report. The minister said that there are an estimated 25,000 such illegal constructions in Hyderabad city. After the report, an all-party meeting will be called and on the basis of the suggestions, the government will initiate necessary action.

Srinivas Yadav rejected the allegations of BJP leaders, including Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy, that the KCR government was regularizing illegal structures for the sake of revenue. He said that illegal construction cannot be removed overnight. He said, ‘BJP leaders are making irresponsible statements for political gains. According to the minister, the High Court has issued orders to stop the regularization of buildings after the formation of Telangana state. No building has been regularized under the BRS regime.
