After the opening of the RTI portal, the access to information about the court will be convenient for the people. At present, RTI applications seeking information about the Supreme Court are filed through post.
The Chief Justice is also the chairman of the E-Committee, which works towards the adoption of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) by the judicial system in India. One of the primary objectives of this committee is to automate the processes and thus ease the access of information to its stakeholders.
How to get information from Supreme Court
Any common citizen, for any information related to the Supreme Court, can apply online to get information from the Supreme Court under the Right to Information Act. To apply online you registry.sci.gov.in/rti_app Have to go to the portal. The method of getting information from the Supreme Court is exactly the same as it is in other institutions. To get information about the Supreme Court, you must first create your login ID on the portal. After this, the information sought will have to be filled in the form. For this you have to pay a fee of Rs 10 online.
